Happy New Year! With 2024 officially here, Disney is set to bring beloved stories to life in new, innovative ways across its theme parks, resorts, and cruise ships. From Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and the Disney Treasure to the Pixar Place Hotel and Fantasmic!’s return, here are 24 magical experiences to look forward to this year!
1. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure – Disneyland & Disney World
Coming in 2024, this highly anticipated attraction will transport guests into Princess Tiana’s world, blending music, adventure, and New Orleans charm at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom.
2. Star Tours Updates – New Characters & Stories
In 2024, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue will introduce new characters and destinations at Disneyland, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disneyland Paris.
3. Pixar Fest Returns to Disneyland Resort
From April 26 – Aug. 4, Pixar Fest will bring colorful décor, themed entertainment, and the all-new parade “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!”.
4. Pixar Place Hotel Opens at Disneyland
On Jan. 30, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel will officially transform into Pixar Place Hotel, becoming the first fully Pixar-themed hotel in the U.S.
5. “Fantasmic!” Returns to Disneyland
On May 24, the beloved nighttime spectacular returns with new special effects, an epic battle scene, and the return of the Peter Pan segment.
6. CommuniCore Plaza & Hall Open at EPCOT
Part of EPCOT’s multiyear transformation, this new festival space will offer interactive exhibits, entertainment, and gathering areas.
7. Reimagined “The Little Mermaid” Show at Hollywood Studios
A new theatrical production will debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, featuring stunning effects and a fresh artistic style.
8. Disney World Brings Back All-Day Park Hopping & Dining Plans
Starting Jan. 9, guests with Park Hopper tickets can switch parks at any time, and Disney Dining Plans return for resort guests.
9. Country Bear Jamboree Gets a New Act
In 2024, the Country Bears will debut a brand-new show with reinterpreted Disney songs in country music styles.
10. The Cake Bake Shop Opens at Disney’s BoardWalk
This whimsical bakery and restaurant will bring French-inspired treats and elegant dining to Walt Disney World.
11. runDisney Returns to Disneyland + Halloween Half Marathon
The Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend returns in January, followed by a spooky Halloween Half Marathon event from Sept. 5-8.
12. Fantasy Springs Opens at Tokyo DisneySea
On June 6, Tokyo DisneySea will debut its newest themed port, featuring lands inspired by Rapunzel, Peter Pan, and Frozen.
13. Disneyland Hotel Reopens at Disneyland Paris
The luxury hotel reopens on Jan. 25, featuring royal-themed rooms inspired by classic Disney princesses.
14. Disney Treasure Sets Sail in December
Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, Disney Treasure, launches on Dec. 21 with exciting Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar-inspired experiences.
15. Disney Lookout Cay Opens in The Bahamas
This stunning island retreat will celebrate Bahamian culture and Disney magic when it opens in summer 2024.
16. Pixar & Marvel Days at Sea Return
Both Pixar Day at Sea and Marvel Day at Sea return in January, featuring immersive character experiences aboard Disney cruises.
17. The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
The newest Disney Vacation Club resort will offer refreshed cabins nestled in the peaceful woodlands of Disney World.
18. New Disney Vacation Club Lounge at Disney World
A brand-new DVC Member Lounge will open at Walt Disney World in 2024, providing a relaxing space for members to recharge.
19. Adventures by Disney Expands to Colombia
Inspired by Encanto, Adventures by Disney will introduce guided trips through Colombia, featuring Bogotá, coffee farms, and cultural experiences.
20. Storyliving by Disney Opens in California
The first-ever Storyliving community, Cotino in Rancho Mirage, will welcome its first residents in 2024.
21. New Disney Eats & Stitch Attacks Snacks Collections
New Disney-themed food merchandise will arrive at Disney Parks and shopDisney throughout 2024.
22. Star Wars Outlaws – Open-World Game Release
The first-ever open-world Star Wars game, Star Wars Outlaws, launches in late 2024, letting players explore new and iconic planets.
23. D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim
From Aug. 9-11, D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event will bring exclusive panels, shopping, and immersive experiences to Anaheim, CA.
24. New Disney Global Ambassadors Begin Their Roles
On Jan. 1, 2024, a new team of Disney Ambassadors will begin their two-year journey of spreading Disney magic worldwide.
