Pixar Place Hotel has officially opened at the Disneyland Resort, marking the first fully Pixar-themed hotel in the United States. The 479-room hotel celebrates the creativity and storytelling magic of Pixar Animation Studios, with references to every Pixar feature film to dateโfrom Toy Story to Elemental.
Pixar Characters Welcome Guests
Lightning McQueen, Mater, and other Pixar favorites helped kick off the grand opening, joining Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock and Pixar Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter for the dedication ceremony. Guests will find Pixar characters throughout the hotel, including the first-ever in-park appearance of Bing Bong from Inside Out and Joe Gardner from Soul, who plays piano near the lobby staircase.
Artistry and Storytelling Around Every Corner
The hotel lobby features Pixar character portraits, maquettes, and concept art. Carl and Ellieโs house even floats inside the elevator shaft, and silhouettes of Pixar characters are hidden throughout the tile flooringโmirroring the details at Pixar Animation Studios in Emeryville.
Eat, Relax, and Play the Pixar Way
Guests can enjoy a full-service restaurant, Great Maple, as well as the grab-and-go Sketch Pad Cafรฉ. Rooftop fun awaits with the new Pixar Shorts Court featuring games inspired by Pixar shorts like Bao and La Luna.
Immersive Guest Rooms and Future Additions
Each hotel floor celebrates a different Pixar film with mural artwork and themed dรฉcor. Rooms include Pixar Ball pillows, film concept art, and immersive touches throughout. Coming later in 2024 are the Coco and Incredibles signature suites. And the Creators Club concierge lounge, designed in collaboration with Imagineering and Pixar.
