During the grand reopening of Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Paris, a magical moment made history. Thanks to Make-A-Wish France and Disneyland Paris, 5-year-old Marie became the guest of honor and fulfilled her dream of becoming a princess. This unforgettable wish marked an extraordinary moment in Disney history.
A Grand Welcome for a Royal Guest
Amidst the elegant reopening festivities, Marie arrived for her dream stay. Welcomed like royalty, she was greeted in the hotel lobby by Mickey Mouse and a host of Disney characters. With smiles, music, and celebration, Marie’s enchanting journey as the hotel’s first guest had begun.
A Stay Fit for a Princess
Marie’s first stop was the luxurious Royal Suite, inspired by Queen Elsa’s Ice Palace from Frozen. She immersed herself in the world of her favorite movie. A magical princess makeover followed, made even more special by a surprise visit from Queen Elsa herself. From there, Marie explored the hotel, meeting other Disney Princesses including Snow White and Aurora.
A Castle View and a Day of Dreams
As the fairytale continued, Marie visited Sleeping Beauty Castle, stepping onto the royal balcony for an unforgettable view of Disneyland Park. She enjoyed classic attractions and watched Disney Stars on Parade, making memories that will last a lifetime.
The Power of a Wish
“There is no word to describe the experience we had and the emotions we felt. This stay was beyond our wildest dreams,” said Marie’s mother, Aurore. “All the moments of escapism we experienced are just unforgettable.”
This once-in-a-lifetime experience was part of Disney’s ongoing commitment to Make-A-Wish. Since 1980, Disney has granted more than 150,000 wishes for children facing critical illnesses, bringing joy, hope, and magic when it’s needed most.
