Exciting news from Disney Parks! The highly anticipated Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will officially open at Magic Kingdom Park, Walt Disney World Resort in Summer 2024. With this announcement, Disney has shared five highlights that will make this attraction a must-ride experience!
1. Dozens of New Audio-Animatronics Figures
Disney is known for its incredible Audio-Animatronics figures, and this new attraction will showcase a whole new generation of them. Guests can expect to see Princess Tiana in her adventure outfit, along with familiar friends and brand-new characters who bring the bayou to life with their unique personalities.
2. Bands in the Bayou
The swamp is alive with music! Tiana’s journey will introduce guests to a lively group of musical critters who have built handcrafted instruments from natural bayou materials. These talented new friends will bring an authentic Louisiana sound to the experience, adding even more excitement to the ride.
3. Music from The Big Easy
New Orleans is famous for its vibrant music scene, and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will capture that spirit. Legendary musicians PJ Morton and Terence Blanchard have collaborated on original songs for the attraction, blending jazz, zydeco, and other classic sounds from The Big Easy. Of course, guests will also hear beloved music from The Princess and the Frog, making the ride a true celebration of Tiana’s world.

There’s a lot to enjoy about New Orleans, and one of my favorite things is hearing all the jazz, zydeco music and more. We’ve already talked about how we are collaborating with industry legends PJ Morton and Terence Blanchard on new original music for the ride, alongside some of the tunes from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film “The Princess and the Frog.”
4. The Return of the Drop
Fans of thrilling log flume drops can rejoice! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will feature a 50-foot plunge, ensuring a refreshing splashdown—perfect for cooling off during the summer heat.
5. More Tiana!
This attraction is all about Princess Tiana and her next chapter after achieving her dream. The ride’s story follows Tiana as she prepares for a festive Mardi Gras party. To thank her family, friends, and the entire community for their support in her journey as a successful business owner. Now, guests are invited to celebrate with her!
Get Ready to Let the Good Times Roll!
Disney fans can’t wait to “come join the party” when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens at Walt Disney World Resort this summer. The attraction will also debut at Disneyland Park in California later in 2024.
