Welcome to Wrexham Season 3 Premieres April 18 on FX

Fans of the Emmy-winning docuseries Welcome to Wrexham have something to cheer about: Season 3 premieres Thursday, April 18, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX. New episodes will stream the following day on Hulu, with the season kicking off with Episode 1 of an eight-episode run.

The series continues to follow actors and co-owners Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds as they lead Wrexham AFC—the world’s oldest professional football club—through an underdog journey unlike any other. Set in the working-class town of Wrexham, Wales, the show captures the highs, lows, and community passion surrounding the club.

First Season in the English Football League

For the first time in the series, Season 3 brings fans into the heart of the action with unprecedented on-the-pitch access. With Wrexham now competing in the English Football League (EFL) League Two, the stakes are higher than ever. Cameras roll inside the locker room, on the field, and through intense matchups as the club aims to continue its historic climb.

Despite challenges like player injuries and league pressure, the community remains united behind its beloved Red Dragons. Will the team rise again in this new era?

Wrexham Women Rise to the Premier League

This season also follows the growing success of Wrexham AFC’s Women’s Team. After an undefeated season, they’ve earned a spot in the Welsh Adran Premier League. With new recruits, upgraded facilities, and stronger competition, the team is ready to show the world what they’re made of.

From Hollywood to the Pitch

When McElhenney and Reynolds purchased Wrexham AFC in 2020, few expected the story would captivate global audiences. Their goal was to create an inspiring sports story—and they’ve done just that. Welcome to Wrexham blends humor, hope, and heart with a love of the game and community.

The show is executive produced by McElhenney, Reynolds, and a team including Josh Drisko, Bryan Rowland, Jeff Luini, and Humphrey Ker, along with Boardwalk Pictures’ Andrew Fried, Dane Lillegard, Sarina Roma, and Andy Thomas. The production combines the talents of More Better Productions, Maximum Effort, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Boardwalk Pictures.
