Guests at Disney California Adventure’s 2024 Food & Wine Festival received an unexpected treat. Patrick Warburton, the iconic Chief Flight Attendant from Soarin’ Over California, made a surprise appearance. For over two decades, Warburton’s pre-recorded safety briefing has been a beloved part of the attraction. This time, he delivered the safety instructions in person, delighting fans and adding a unique touch to their adventure.
Reflecting on the experience, Warburton shared, “It’s just magical to see how beloved Soarin’ Over California still is after all of these years.” He fondly recalled his first Disneyland visit at age five and expressed gratitude for being part of an enduring Disney attraction. “Getting to surprise guests today was super fun,” he added. “It’s great to see the impact that this safety intro has made for the past 23 years and how people still love it.”
Soarin’ Over California returned for a limited time during the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. The festival offered guests a chance to savor a variety of specialty dishes and beverages, along with family-friendly entertainment. Warburton’s surprise visit added an extra layer of excitement to the event, creating unforgettable memories for those in attendance.
“It’s just magical to see how beloved Soarin’ Over California still is after all of these years,” Patrick shared. “I can remember my first trip to Disneyland at the age of five and I continue to be a fan. So to be part of a Disney attraction that has lasted this long has just been such a sweet and wonderful thing for me.”
