A new era of women’s college basketball begins this fall as the 2024 WBCA Showcase arrives at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort. From November 21-24, 2024, six thrilling games will unfold over four days, showcasing top-tier teams and standout players.

A Historic Tip-Off at The Most Magical Place on Earth
Announced on March 13, 2024, the WBCA Showcase marks a fresh partnership between Disney Sports and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). All games will take place at the State Farm Field House. Featured teams include the national powerhouse University of Louisville and University of South Florida, who meet in a key regular-season showdown on November 24.
“The WBCA Showcase offers college basketball and Disney fans a new way to come together and celebrate incredible athletes,” said Jorge Senior, Disney’s Director of Sports Planning and Development. “We’re excited to welcome women’s college basketball back to ESPN Wide World of Sports.”
A New Chapter for Women’s Basketball at Disney
The WBCA Showcase marks the return of Division I women’s hoops to Walt Disney World. It follows the legacy of the Honda Elite 4 Holiday Classic (1998–2000), which previously featured legendary programs like UConn and Notre Dame.
Danielle Donehew, Executive Director of the WBCA, shared her enthusiasm: “We are proud to bring high-level non-conference matchups to coaches, student-athletes, and fans. ESPN Wide World of Sports provides an outstanding competition venue and hotel experience.”
