Disney fans from around the world will gather in Anaheim from August 9–11 for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, presented by Visa. This one-of-a-kind celebration promises more immersive experiences and behind-the-scenes access to all things Disney.
What’s New for D23 2024
This year, D23 has been reimagined with fan-first updates across every area. Key highlights include:
- Three marquee showcases at the Honda Center – including Disney Entertainment, Disney Experiences, and the Disney Legends Ceremony.
- D23 Day at Disneyland Resort on August 8 – featuring exclusive food, photo ops, merchandise, and Disney Junior festivities.
- Expanded show floor – with immersive exhibits from Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and more.
- World of Disney: The Product Experience – a new shopping hub full of limited-edition merchandise.
- FANtastic Prizes Sweepstakes – the largest sweepstakes in Disney history.
Marquee Presentations at the Honda Center
The Honda Center will host three major nightly presentations, each filled with special guests, surprises, and exciting reveals:
- Disney Entertainment Showcase (Friday, August 9): A look into upcoming films, series, and stage productions.
- Disney Experiences Showcase (Saturday, August 10): Updates from Disney Parks and global attractions hosted by Josh D’Amaro.
- Disney Legends Ceremony (Sunday, August 11): Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, this year’s honorees include Angela Bassett, James Cameron, Harrison Ford, John Williams, and more.
Anaheim Convention Center Show Floor
The show floor will offer redesigned pavilions, interactive exhibits, photo ops, and a one-of-a-kind “Great Big Beautiful Car Show” from the Walt Disney Archives. Attendees can engage with displays from Disney+, Marvel Studios, National Geographic, and Disney Experiences.
Expanded Shopping & Exclusive Merch
Shoppers can explore Mickey’s of Glendale, The Hollywood Studio Store, The Emporium, and—for the first time—The Walt Disney Company Store, featuring branded apparel, bags, pins, and collectibles.
A virtual queue system will be in place at select locations to help fans enjoy the best of the shopping experience.
Panels, Presentations, and the Return of Mousequerade
Fans can attend curated panels across five stages, including:
- Premiere Stage: Large-scale entertainment, including the ultimate costume contest, Mousequerade.
- Walt Disney Archives Stage: Deep dives into Disney history.
- Hyperion and Backlot Stages: Niche fan content and interactive panels.
- Spotlight Stage: Live discussions and surprise guest interactions on the show floor.
