Star Wars: The Acolyte Trailer Teases June 4 Premiere on Disney+

Earlier today, Disney+ debuted the first trailer for its upcoming live-action original series, Star Wars: The Acolyte. The highly anticipated show premieres Tuesday, June 4, with the first two episodes launching exclusively on Disney+.

Set in the final days of the High Republic era, the series explores a dark and mysterious corner of the galaxy far, far away—one where the truth is twisted, and danger lurks behind every revelation.

A New Story from the Shadows of the Force

The Acolyte tells a story filled with secrets, deception, and shifting loyalties. As the Jedi face hidden threats, darkness begins to rise in unexpected places. The character of Barriss Offee also returns, suggesting that the moral lines between hero and villain may blur more than ever. Although the Jedi hold the power, cracks in their legacy begin to show, revealing a side of the galaxy rarely explored on screen.

Leslye Headland, the creator of the series, directs the opening episodes. She draws inspiration from George Lucas’s original vision while expanding the mythos with new themes and characters. With each episode, the series delves deeper into the mystery, offering fans a thrilling blend of suspense and action. The series also explores how the past can shape destiny, even when the truth remains hidden.
