On March 27, 2024, The Walt Disney Company launched Hulu on Disney Plus in the U.S. This major update gives Disney+ subscribers access to both platforms’ extensive libraries directly within the Disney+ app.

Unified Streaming with Hulu on Disney Plus
Now, eligible users can stream Hulu content like Grey’s Anatomy, The Bear, Only Murders in the Building, and Poor Things without switching apps. This unified experience merges Disney’s legacy with Hulu’s award-winning stories.
Bundle subscribers—or anyone with both services separately—can enjoy this feature at just $9.99 monthly. However, Hulu and Disney+ are still available as standalone apps.
A Streaming Milestone for Disney
Joe Earley, President of Direct-to-Consumer at Disney Entertainment, called this launch “transformative.” He emphasized that combining the libraries creates greater value and enhances viewer discovery within a single experience.
A Technological Leap
Aaron LaBerge, President & CTO of Disney Entertainment & ESPN, described the launch of Hulu on Disney Plus as the most significant product evolution since Disney+ debuted. This integration reflects years of behind-the-scenes tech upgrades that now power a smoother and more engaging user interface.
