Get ready to experience beloved Disney characters and stories like never before as Walt Disney Studios Park, the second park at Disneyland Paris, continues its transformation and expansion on a never-before-seen scale — starting with a brand-new name for the destination! The location will be renamed Disney Adventure World coinciding with when World of Frozen opens, bringing with it a new creative vision that will nearly double the park’s footprint and transform it into a world of adventure (and in Arendelle’s case, a world of snow).
As Walt Disney Studios Park begins its reimagining to Disney Adventure World, soon you’ll be able to experience a brand-new park entrance sequence that welcomes you to the park’s promenade, Adventure Way, along with new experiences, attractions, and enhancements designed to transport you right into the heart of memorable Disney stories. Disney Experiences isn’t just turbocharging the park itself, though, as Disney Village will also be receiving enhanced offerings. And when it’s time to wind down at the end of the day, new updates are coming to the Disney Hotels, too.
“Embracing a transformation that involves the overhaul of more than 90% of Walt Disney Studios Park since its debut in 2002, we’re unveiling a fresh creative vision that has completely redefined our second gate,” Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris shared. “It’s set to offer unique adventures in immersive worlds, serving as a perfect complement to Disneyland Park.”
And this is only the beginning as Disneyland Paris enters a brand-new era!
New Chapter, New Park Entrance
Disney Adventure World will mark the beginning of a brand-new story, which starts with the park’s new entrance sequence in spring 2025! You’ll be transported into a vibrant, contemporary open-air movie studio, World Premiere, and welcomed to a glamorous movie premiere in the heart of Hollywood. The current “soundstage” décor will be replaced with all-new pieces paying homage to historic movie theaters.
Once outside, you’ll find yourself right in the middle of World Premiere Plaza, the new Art Déco-inspired theater district, currently celebrating Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios. If you’ve been in the park recently, you may notice Walt Disney Imagineering Paris teams are already hard at work turning the former central square into something quite special.
Journey to World of Frozen
You can already visit Avengers Campus and Worlds of Pixar but soon another immersive location will open at Disneyland Paris: World of Frozen! Here you will be able to journey to the kingdom of Arendelle – in fact, you may notice its remarkable North Mountain and colorful facades slowly coming into view as construction continues.
New Entertainment Awaits at Adventure Bay
The wintery home of Queens Anna and Elsa will be located along the edge of Adventure Bay, a majestic lake surrounded by picturesque banks and a promenade at the heart of the park’s expansion. It will serve not only as a gateway to the new themed worlds that will surround it, but also feature a unique entertainment stage with a 360-degree viewing area. Complete with fountains, music, lights and special effects, it will be fitted with the latest technologies for water-based entertainment.
That’s just the beginning! We can’t wait to share more in the future on a brand-new immersive world whose concept and design are currently being finalized by Disney Imagineers.
See the Tangled Floating Lanterns Gleam
Continuing towards the new promenade, Adventure Way, you’ll discover an all-new family attraction! Raiponce Tangled Spin, inspired by the beloved Disney Animation movie, “Tangled,” will take you on a spin through the iconic floating lanterns scene before setting off to try the delicious dishes over at The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge. This new, table-service restaurant will offer you specular views of Adventure Bay along with a chance to meet some of your favorite Disney Princesses.
Phew, that was quite a bit to share, but we have even more! From hotels to entertainment, the entire resort continues its multi-year transformation, but are you ready to know what you can expect to see at the Disneyland Paris resort as soon as this year?!
Alice and the Queen of Hearts Head to Paris
Beginning on May 18, Alice & The Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland will debut at Walt Disney Studios Park! This wild, new show, inspired by the Disney Animation film “Alice in Wonderland,” will feature high-flying acrobats pushing their limits in a supercharged pop and rock showdown with two possible endings decided by the audience.
New Activation Assembles at Avengers Campus
Over at Avengers Campus, a new nighttime activation will come to life by the end of 2024. Taking place on the Worldwide Engineering Brigade building through spring 2025, this immersive experience will combine projections, music and special effects alongside an all-new storyline featuring some favorite and new-to-Disneyland Paris Super Heroes.
Transformation Continues at Disney Village
Disney Village continues its transformation as the current shops are gradually being redesigned to pave the way for new experiences! This makeover includes the introduction of a new Disney lifestyle shop and a Disney home store by the end of the year, plus the current Disney Store will also be reimagined later on. We’re also excited to confirm the refurbishment of the LEGO Store, including new photo opportunities, awe-inspiring big builds and interactive play stations.
Waddle Over to New Disney Davy Crockett Ranch Bungalows
Earlier this year, Disneyland Hotel reopened its doors with a regal makeover, but that’s not all! Disney Davy Crockett Ranch bungalows are receiving a new look, too. The project will start this year and elevate the hotel’s theming with nods to the Junior Woodchucks, together with Donald Duck and his friends.
The new experiences and never-before-seen scale expansion at Disneyland Paris is just one of the many ways Disney Experiences is turbocharging growth around the world! And we can’t wait to tell you even more about everything coming to Disney Parks around the world at this year’s D23 Expo.
