During The Walt Disney Company Annual Meeting of Shareholders, CEO Bob Iger unveiled a first look at a potential new Avatar Disneyland Experience. The inspirational concept artwork showcased the breathtaking world of Pandora, hinting at what might be possible following the approval of the DisneylandForward project.
This new experience would bring the magical, bioluminescent world of Avatar to life at Waltโs original park, inviting guests into all-new adventures on Pandora.
A Legacy of Immersive Storytelling
The Avatar Disneyland Experience continues Disneyโs recent trend of expanding immersive storytelling across the globe. Over the past decade, guests have been transported to fully realized lands inspired by Star Wars, Avengers, Pixar, and more.
Recent additions like World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland and Zootopia at Shanghai Disney Resort have been met with incredible guest enthusiasm, and 2024 is shaping up to be just as exciting.
Whatโs Coming in 2024 and Beyond
Tianaโs Bayou Adventure opens at Magic Kingdom and Disneyland Park this year. And on the global stage, Fantasy Springs will debut at Tokyo DisneySeaโthe most significant single-land expansion in Disney Park history. Meanwhile, work continues at Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris, where a Frozen-themed land is under construction.
The expansion of Disney Experiences extends to sea as well. This summer, Disney Cruise Line opens a new island destination in the Bahamas, Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. And in December, the fleet will welcome the Disney Treasure.
