Victoria & Albert’s Earns First MICHELIN Star at Walt Disney World

For over two decades, Victoria & Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has redefined fine dining at Walt Disney World. Now, the restaurant has received one of the culinary world’s highest honors—a MICHELIN Star—becoming the first restaurant owned and operated by a U.S. theme park destination to earn this distinction.

A Legacy of Excellence at Victoria & Albert’s

The award-winning dining room is known for its multi-course tasting experience, crafted from the finest ingredients from around the globe. Chef de Cuisine Matthew Sowers, who has spent nearly 20 years at the restaurant, leads the culinary team. His influence has also extended to the menus at Remy aboard the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy.

On the sweet side, Pastry Chef Ally Rogers brings her artistry to each plated dessert, managing a talented pastry team that supports the entire resort. Their work is the backbone of an ever-evolving menu designed to delight and surprise every guest.

World-Class Wine and Impeccable Service

With over 500 curated wine selections, the restaurant’s sommelier team is an integral part of the experience. Guests can choose from world-renowned vintages or explore the expertly designed zero-proof beverage menu for a thoughtfully crafted pairing.

Israel Perez, maître d’hotel and recipient of the 2024 Florida Service Award, has served Victoria & Albert’s guests for over 20 years. His service philosophy reflects his passion: “Just like a dance, there are many tiny steps that come naturally after years of dedication.”

Overseeing the broader culinary vision is Executive Chef Kevin Chong, who manages operations for 13 restaurants at the Grand Floridian, and Culinary Director Chef Scott Hunnel, who led Victoria & Albert’s for years and now mentors teams across Disney Resort Hotels.
