New Dining at Downtown Disney District in 2024
Food lovers, prepare your taste buds for even more flavor at the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort. This spring and summer, guests can enjoy innovative cuisine through all-new Mexican restaurants, exciting culinary experiences, and sweet new surprises—all part of the district’s continued transformation.

Paseo, Céntrico, and Tiendita Opening in May
Mexico’s first Michelin-starred chef, Carlos Gaytán, is bringing a trio of vibrant dining concepts to Downtown Disney. Opening in May 2024, Paseo, Céntrico, and Tiendita each deliver a unique experience rooted in authentic Mexican cuisine and Chef Gaytán’s culinary passion.

Paseo invites guests upstairs to an elegant dining room featuring warm textures, handcrafted décor, and elevated views of the district. The menu blends Mexican ingredients with French technique—expect signature dishes like Mama’s cochinita pibil, lamb barbacoa, and fresh mussels.

Céntrico, a courtyard bar and restaurant, will serve upscale Mexican food and cocktails in an open-air setting with custom wood accents and vibrant greenery. Standout bites include tlayuda, chicken enchiladas, quesabirrias, and Chef Gaytán’s signature Caesar salad.

Tiendita offers a quick-service experience for guests on the go. Order street food-inspired treats like esquites, chorizo breakfast burritos, fish tacos, or even an ice cream-stuffed chocolate taco through self-service kiosks.

Chef Gaytán previewed his culinary vision at the 2024 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, where guests sampled tetelas—stuffed masa triangles that will be on Paseo’s menu.

Din Tai Fung Arrives This Summer
The globally acclaimed Taiwanese restaurant Din Tai Fung is also set to open in summer 2024. Known for their handmade soup dumplings, this family-style eatery will serve beloved dishes like wontons, noodles, bok choy, and pork chop fried rice.
New Steakhouse and Barbecue Restaurants in Development
Two new table-service restaurants are on the horizon at Downtown Disney. Taking over the former Tortilla Jo’s footprint, one location will be a full-service steakhouse, and the other a barbecue concept. Details are still under wraps, but both promise exciting additions to the dining lineup.

Marceline’s Confectionery Is Getting a Sweet Makeover
The beloved Marceline’s Confectionery will soon undergo a complete reimagination, expanding the space and introducing new treats. In the meantime, guests can still grab their favorites—like churro toffee and caramel apples—at a temporary Marceline’s cart.
