Freddie Mercury & Queen Take the Stage in Streaming History

Following its record-breaking success as the biggest IMAX exclusive event release ever, “Queen Rock Montreal” will make its global streaming premiere May 15 on Disney+. The concert film becomes the first on the platform to feature IMAX Enhanced sound powered by DTS.

Subscribers with IMAX Enhanced certified devices will enjoy an immersive audio experience that captures the full dynamic range of Queen’s legendary live performance. The digitally remastered film showcases Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon at their peak, delivering an unforgettable show.

A Legendary Concert Restored

The original concerts were recorded on November 24 and 25, 1981, specifically for a full-length concert film. The restoration was handled by Mercury Studios, with executive producers Geoff Kempin and Alice Webb for Mercury Studios and Jim Beach and Matilda Beach for Queen Films.
