Grab your dishpans and fiddles—there’s big news from Frontierland. This summer, the Country Bear New Costumes will make their grand debut at Magic Kingdom Park as part of the reimagined Country Bear Musical Jamboree. With bold styles and sparkling rhinestones, Bunny, Bubbles, and Beulah are ready to shine like never before.
In a brand-new behind-the-scenes video, Disney Live Entertainment gives fans a closer look at how these costumes come together. Sara Landesberg, a costumer with the team, is leading the creative charge behind the bears’ fresh new looks. The transformation pairs perfectly with the new musical direction of the show, combining visual flair with updated storytelling.
Behind the Seams with Disney Live Entertainment
Sara Landesberg helps bring the Country Bear New Costumes to life by coordinating multiple creative teams, each contributing to the final ensemble. She sources every fabric, rhinestone, and trim while collaborating closely with pattern makers to design garments that fit the unique shapes of audio animatronic characters.
“These bears don’t move like humans,” Sara explains. “So we add gussets and stretch panels to keep the costumes intact while still allowing them to perform.” The costumes must be durable, flexible, and still dazzle under stage lights.
From the oversized frills on Bunny’s outfit to the detailed hat perched atop Beulah’s head. Each piece is handcrafted with showmanship in mind. Every glittering detail is placed intentionally—even if you don’t notice it at first glance, it’s there adding character to the performance.
Music, Movement, and Magic
When the Country Bear Musical Jamboree reopens this summer. It won’t just be the Country Bear New Costumes stealing the show. The entire production has been refreshed with nods to Nashville’s Opry-style roots. Guests will hear reinterpreted Disney songs performed in styles ranging from bluegrass to Americana, rockabilly, and pop-country.
Alongside Bunny, Bubbles, and Beulah, the rest of the bear band will don new outfits that match the updated soundtrack. Expect Easter eggs from the original show, a few surprise melodies, and a visual feast that reflects the playful spirit of the characters.
Sara and the design team worked hard to ensure that every costume not only looked great but helped tell the story—whether through color, silhouette, or texture. These new designs celebrate both tradition and transformation.
