Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Celebrates 5 Years with New Ki-Adi-Mundi Legacy Lightsaber

Star Wars fans, prepare to ignite your collection! Just in time for the 5th anniversary of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Disney is unveiling an exclusive collectible: the Ki-Adi-Mundi Lightsaber. This Legacy Lightsaber hilt launches May 31 at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities in Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, and online at DisneyStore.com.

The limited-edition set comes in a beautifully crafted wooden box featuring the symbol of Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities. It includes a commemorative comic book, a numbered insert card, and a hilt that illuminates blue when paired with a Legacy Lightsaber blade (sold separately).

Honoring a Cerean Jedi Master

The Ki-Adi-Mundi Lightsaber pays tribute to the wise Cerean Jedi who first appeared in the 1998 comic “Prelude to the Rebellion” and later in the Star Wars prequel films and animated series. According to the story, Dok-Ondar obtained the hilt from none other than Jabba the Hutt.

Senior merchandiser Cody Hampton, a lifelong Star Wars fan, explained that the set was designed to celebrate both the Jedi Master and the storytelling at Galaxy’s Edge. “The box design and collectible elements are tied to the comic book narrative,” he said.

Limited Release, Expanding Legacy

Only 6,000 sets of the Ki-Adi-Mundi Lightsaber will be released globally. This collectible marks the 33rd Legacy Lightsaber hilt launched since Galaxy’s Edge opened five years ago. A downloadable poster checklist of every released hilt and collector’s set is also available to celebrate the milestone.

“We want each item to feel in-story and authentic,” said Hampton. “Our goal has always been to make Lightsaber collectibles that honor the Star Wars galaxy in all its forms—from movies and TV to comics and games.”

Where to Find It

The Ki-Adi-Mundi Lightsaber set will be available at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Online fans can purchase it at DisneyStore.com starting at 8 a.m. PT on May 31.

This is a must-have for collectors and Jedi enthusiasts. May the Force be with you as you add this rare piece of Jedi history to your collection!
