Moana and Maui Reunite for a New Voyage
Get ready to voyage beyond the reef once again. Walt Disney Animation Studios has released the first official teaser for Moana 2, offering a glimpse at the epic adventure that awaits when the film premieres exclusively in theaters on November 27, 2024.
Set three years after the events of the original film, Moana 2 sees Moana and the demigod Maui reunite for a bold new journey. After receiving a mysterious call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana sets sail across the uncharted seas of Oceania. Her mission: to navigate long-lost waters and face untold dangers with a surprising crew of seafarers by her side.
Music and Creative Team Bring Magic Aboard
The film is directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand, and Dana Ledoux Miller. Christina Chen and Yvett Merino serve as producers. This next chapter in Moana’s story will feature an all-new soundtrack created by Grammy® winners Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear. Alongside Grammy nominee Opetaia Foaʻi and three-time Grammy winner Mark Mancina.
