A new era of island magic is coming to Walt Disney World this December! The Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows will welcome guests with a stunning 10-story design inspired by the spirit of Polynesia and Disney storytelling. Overlooking the Seven Seas Lagoon and within walking distance to the Disney Monorail, this new tower is the perfect launch point for your next adventure to Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
A Tower Inspired by Polynesian Culture and Nature
While this tower is new, its roots trace back to early designs for Disney’s Polynesian Resort, which originally included a central tower as the resort’s heart. The Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas now brings that vision to life—celebrating Polynesian culture, wildlife, and conservation with thoughtful design elements and immersive storytelling.
Outside, you’ll be greeted by a beautifully crafted manta ray sculpture, symbolizing freedom, protection, and grace. Inside, look up to discover a breathtaking ceiling panel representing different Polynesian islands and the native animals connected to them. Each animal reflects values deeply rooted in Polynesian traditions.

Art, Sustainability, and Storytelling Come Together
More than a dozen artists from around the world collaborated with Walt Disney Imagineering to fill the tower with meaningful artwork—from sculptures made from recycled fishing nets to moss-covered living walls. These artistic touches embody a message of sustainability and a reverence for Polynesian culture.

The Island Tower will offer room types for families of all sizes. Including duo studios, one- and two-bedroom villas, and the all-new two-bedroom penthouse villas, sleeping up to nine guests. Many rooms will feature panoramic views of the lagoon and surrounding resort areas.
