What DisneylandForward Means for the Future
Almost 70 years ago, Walt Disney redefined the theme park experience. With DisneylandForward, the company honors that legacy while preparing for the next generation of immersive storytelling.
Guests can expect more magical experiences in the years aheadโbuilding on beloved expansions like Star Wars: Galaxyโs Edge, Avengers Campus, and Pixar Place Hotel.
A Massive Investment in Anaheim
Disney has committed to investing at least $1.9 billion in the first 10 years alone. According to Cal State Fullerton, this could generate $15 million annually in new city revenueโfunding essential services like parks, libraries, fire, and police.
In addition, Disneyland Resort has pledged:
- $30 million for affordable housing
- $8 million for parks
- $85 million in traffic and pedestrian improvements
- Expanded workforce development initiatives
These commitments aim to uplift the Anaheim community while supporting long-term success.
Thousands of New Jobs
DisneylandForward is expected to create more than 4,500 new operational jobs at Disneyland Resort and nearly 9,000 construction jobs over the first decade. With over 2,200 applications weekly for hourly roles, the demand is clear.
A Future Fueled by Imagination DisneylandForward
As Ken Potrock, President of Disneyland Resort, puts it: โDisneylandForward sets up the resort and the city of Anaheim for an incredibly bright future.โ
Walt Disney once said, โDisneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.โ With DisneylandForward, that spirit is more alive than ever.
