Celebrating it’s 40th anniversary the Annual Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade, filmed at both Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California, brought the magic of the holidays to life with showstopping musical performances of beloved holiday classics. This year’s parade was especially significant as it celebrated the 40th anniversary of this cherished holiday tradition.
Highlights of the 2023 Parade:
Hosts and Performers: The parade was hosted by the dynamic duo, Derek and Julianne Hough, alongside Mickey Guyton at Walt Disney World and Jesse Palmer at Disneyland. Audiences were treated to incredible performances by Ariana DeBose, Chrissy Metz, The Smashing Pumpkins, Michael Bolton, Meg Donnelly, Iam Tongi, and the Broadway and North American Tour Cast of Disney’s “Aladdin.”
Musical Performances:
Julianne and Derek Hough dazzled with a medley of “Good Morning” and “Deck the Halls.”
Meg Donnelly charmed with “Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home).”
Chrissy Metz warmed hearts with “Silver Bells.”
The Smashing Pumpkins performed their hit “Evergreen.”
Iam Tongi brought a Hawaiian touch with “Mele Kalikimaka.”
The cast of Disney’s “Aladdin” wowed with “Friend Like Me.”
Special Features: In addition to these incredible performances, the parade showcased heartwarming family stories and offered sneak peeks at exciting new projects from The Walt Disney Company. The festivities also included a nostalgic look back at some of the most iconic performances from the past 40 years.
