Disney Channel Announces Premiere for Wizards Beyond Waverly Place
Mark your calendars! Wizards Beyond Waverly Place—the highly anticipated continuation of the Emmy® Award-winning Wizards of Waverly Place—debuts with two episodes on Tuesday, October 29 at 8 p.m. ET on Disney Channel. For fans eager to watch them all, the first eight episodes will also drop the next day, Wednesday, October 30, on Disney+ and Disney Channel On Demand.
Justin Russo Returns with New Magical Challenges
The series follows an adult Justin Russo (David Henrie), who has chosen a normal, magic-free life with his wife Giada (Mimi Gianopulos) and their sons Roman (Alkaio Thiele) and Milo (Max Matenko). But everything changes when Justin’s sister, Alex Russo (guest star Selena Gomez), appears with a new wizard-in-training, Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown), who needs Justin’s guidance.
Faced with reigniting his magical talents, Justin must balance mentoring Billie while protecting the wizard world—and keeping up with family life.
Exciting New Faces and Familiar Talent
The cast also includes Taylor Cora as Winter. Behind the scenes, the series brings star power with Raven-Symoné and Danielle Fishel confirmed to direct episodes this season. The show is executive produced by writers Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas. Along with Gary Marsh, Jonas Agin, Selena Gomez, and David Henrie.
Director Andy Fickman helms the pilot and will return for multiple episodes.
How to Watch and What’s Next
After the Disney Channel premiere, two additional episodes—including a Halloween-themed episode—will premiere October 30. Starting November 8, new episodes will debut every Friday at 8 p.m. ET.
