What Happens When the Galaxy Gets Twisted?
LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, now streaming on Disney+, flips the script on everything we know about the Star Wars universe. Heroes become villains, villains turn good, and chaos ensues in a wildly imaginative LEGO-style adventure.
Writer and executive producer Benji Samit explained, “We wanted to do something special for the 25th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars. Instead of recreating familiar scenes, we went back to how fans play—with a pile of bricks and unlimited creativity.”
Hilarious Mashups and Fan-Favorite Characters
The show embraces this playful spirit with mixed-up characters and surprising alliances. Bobby Moynihan, who voices Jedi Bob, shared his favorite twist: “I love Darth Maul in this version. He’s not angry—he’s just calm. He probably needed a few calm days anyway!”
The voice cast is packed with lifelong Star Wars fans. Tony Revolori (Dev Greebling) fondly recalled recreating the Obi-Wan and Anakin duel with his brother on bunk beds. Gaten Matarazzo (Sig Greebling) recounted the shock of discovering Darth Vader’s secret while watching The Empire Strikes Back for the first time—so intense he dropped his lightsaber down the stairs.
Introducing New Heroes in the LEGO Galaxy
The series also introduces new characters, including Yesi Scala, voiced by Marsai Martin. Yesi helps Sig grow into the hero he’s meant to be while navigating the mixed-up galaxy alongside her brother, Dev.
“I’m excited for fans to see Yesi’s journey,” Martin shared. “She’s finding herself while helping rebuild the galaxy.”
