The Star Wars Trading Post at Disney Springs has officially closed its doors, and while Disney has yet to confirm what will take its place, there are unconfirmed reports of a possible holiday-themed Santa Claus meet and greet coming to this spot.
A small sign posted at the Trading Post entrance, written in Aurebesh (the Star Wars alphabet), reads, “Sorry, Closed.” For fans looking to continue their Star Wars shopping, Disney has directed guests to Once Upon a Toy, which will still offer a selection of Star Wars merchandise.
Rest assured, the Star Wars Galactic Outpost near Starbucks remains open and fully stocked with Star Wars items, providing fans with another option for finding their favorite galactic gear.
While this change may signal a temporary shift for the holiday season, Disney Springs remains a hub for Star Wars and holiday fun. The biggest question is, is it a temporary change? Or can we look forward to something new in this space after the holiday season?
