Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens at Disneyland Resort, bringing guests along a vibrant, musical journey inspired by The Princess and the Frog. The new attraction features a lively Mardi Gras setting, appearances by beloved characters, a catchy soundtrack, and a thrilling 50-foot drop into the bayou.
To mark the occasion, several stars from the original animated film helped celebrate opening day. Among them were voice talents Anika Noni Rose, Jenifer Lewis, and Michael-Leon Wooley. There were joined by Princess Tiana and Louis the Alligator for a joyful street party in New Orleans Square. All backed by the swinging sounds of the Jambalaya Jazz Band.
Celebrities Celebrate with Disney Magic
The celebration continued aboard the Mark Twain Riverboat, where Anika Noni Rose and Jenifer Lewis were joined by singer-songwriter and composer PJ Morton to perform during the attraction’s official dedication ceremony.
Guests and stars alike got to experience the new attraction firsthand. Jenifer Lewis and Michael-Leon Wooley took the plunge together. Both enjoying a ride full of vibrant scenery, familiar faces like Mama Odie, and magical moments.
Even More Star Power in New Orleans Square
Over in New Orleans Square, Tia Mowry (wearing an outfit inspired by Boo from Monsters, Inc.) celebrated the day by posing with Tiana. And continued by sampling food from Tiana’s Palace, including gumbo, red beans and rice, and of course—beignets!
Actor Jaime Camil also visited the attraction and got to see Louis up close during his magical day at Disneyland.
