Get ready to open the door—literally—because Mike and Sulley are heading to Disney’s Hollywood Studios! In a major transformation revealed at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, concept art and video showcased the Monsters Inc Coaster, a new track-based thrill ride that will replace the long-running Muppet*Vision 3D attraction.
This highly anticipated addition will bring guests directly into the world of Monstropolis with a coaster experience inspired by the Monsters Inc. films. While details on the ride system are still under wraps, fans got a first look at the ride vehicles and early visuals featuring the beloved monsters zooming through doors and laugh floors.

Muppets Take Over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
But wait, there’s more! As Mike and Sulley move in, the Muppets are moving out—to Sunset Boulevard. That’s right: Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will be reimagined as a Muppets-themed musical adventure.
This all-new version will feature Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, and the rest of the gang teaming up with big-name music legends for a wild ride through a Muppets-run music festival. Think laughs, chaos, and an all-new soundtrack filled with fan-favorite hits and Muppet flair.
Not only will this mark the first Disney ride ever to star The Muppets, but it will also bring a fresh burst of energy to one of Hollywood Studios’ most iconic coasters. Expect themed merchandise, updated visuals, and plenty of surprises from the Muppet crew.

Before the curtain closes, there’s still time to experience the originals! Guests can still enjoy Muppet*Vision 3D and take a super-stretch limo ride with Aerosmith at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster before their final encore performances.
Disney has shared that creative teams are actively looking at ways to preserve and honor the legacy of Muppet*Vision 3D, even as the resort evolves. So while changes are coming, the heart of the original experiences will continue to inspire future magic.
