Meet Your New Flying Companion at Pandora
There’s nothing quite like the moment you bond with a banshee in Pandora – The World of Avatar, and starting November 21, that connection becomes even more lifelike. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is debuting four all-new interactive shoulder banshees, complete with glowing bioluminescent details, remote-controlled features, and customizable accessories.
A Deeper Connection to the Avatar Universe
These shoulder banshees expand on the popular original version by adding new colors, movements, and sounds inspired by Avatar. Controlled with a discreet wireless remote, you can animate your banshee’s head, wings, and mouth while hearing authentic audio provided by Lightstorm Entertainment.
“The Na’vi have a lifelong bond with their banshees,” explains Amanda Rubinos Luna, Disney merchandising manager. “Now our guests can form their own connection and take that magic home.”

Features that Bring Your Banshee to Life
In addition to the remote-controlled actions, the new banshees are programmed to interact with other shoulder and wrist banshees nearby. They also respond to touch, making each experience feel personal and dynamic.

New Ways to Carry and Display
Each banshee comes with a sling-style carrying case and a mossy display perch designed to match the flora of Pandora. Whether you’re exploring Disney’s Animal Kingdom or bringing the story home, your banshee will always have a special place.
The banshees will be available exclusively at Windtraders, the main merchandise location inside Pandora. Guests can speak with an Alpha Centauri Expeditions Naturalist to choose the banshee that calls to them.
