Pixar has just released the official trailer for Dream Productions, a four-episode limited series premiering December 11, 2024, exclusively on Disney+. Set between the events of Inside Out and the upcoming Inside Out 2, the new series invites viewers back into Riley’s mind for a behind-the-scenes look at how her dreams are made.
A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Riley’s Dreams
The story follows Paula Persimmon, voiced by Paula Pell, a seasoned director at Dream Productions. Her mission is to deliver Riley’s next big dream—on time and within budget. This challenge becomes even trickier when she’s paired with Xeni, voiced by Richard Ayoade. He’s a smug daydream director who’s determined to prove he can handle night dreams too.
Naturally, their styles clash. Paula is practical and experienced, while Xeni is bold and unpredictable. The trailer teases a wild mix of teamwork, tension, and humor as they try to collaborate.

Pixar’s Signature Blend of Heart and Humor
Dream Productions adds a new layer to Riley’s world. The limited series includes quirky sets, imaginative dream sequences, and eccentric characters. Thanks to Pixar’s storytelling magic, the series blends emotion, visual flair, and laugh-out-loud moments.
Importantly, the show also builds a bridge between two major Pixar films. It gives fans more time with Riley and a fun look into the “studio” behind her subconscious.
Streaming on Disney+ December 11
With Inside Out 2 on the horizon, Dream Productions arrives at the perfect time to bridge the gap between stories while offering fans something completely new. All four episodes debut December 11 on Disney+, giving viewers a chance to explore the wonderfully weird world of dream-making in a way only Pixar could deliver.
Stay tuned for more updates on Inside Out 2 and other Pixar projects coming soon to Disney+.
