This wildly popular series started as a unique idea by designers Amy and Rachel, who wanted to spotlight something exclusive to Hong Kong Disneyland. After walking the park for inspiration, the duo landed on trash cans—each one visually unique and recognizable.
Color was key to the design. The team selected cans with bold styles and distinct themes that would stand out on shelves. PUSH, the interactive Fantasyland trash can who chats with guests, was a non-negotiable addition from the start.
“We wanted to create something park-specific,” shared Amy. “PUSH immediately came to mind. From there, the collection took shape.”

Once the mystery boxes dropped, it didn’t take long for fans to start collecting, trading, and even dressing in trash-themed looks. Available across the resort, these mystery boxes are becoming just as iconic as the full-size trash cans they replicate.
For Rachel and Amy, seeing their idea become a phenomenon has been unforgettable. “Seeing a product I helped plan—concept to launch—become so well-loved brings me great satisfaction,” said Rachel.
