The Disney Parks Blog has unveiled your official guide to Disneyland Resort’s 70th Anniversary Celebration, which launches May 16, 2025, and continues through summer 2026. The celebration spans seven decades of magic and invites guests to “Celebrate Happy” with dazzling entertainment, festive décor, themed food and drinks, exclusive merchandise, and more.
Before we discuss what’s coming, let’s reflect on Disneyland’s 60th Diamond Anniversary and its TV special, The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60. With musical performances, heartfelt tributes, and highlights from Disneyland’s history, the special set the tone for honoring Walt’s original dream and the joy it continues to inspire.

World of Color – Happiness! at Disney California Adventure
A brand-new nighttime spectacular debuts on Paradise Bay, hosted by Joy and the Emotions from Inside Out and Inside Out 2. World of Color – Happiness! brings to life moments from Turning Red, Tangled, The Lion King, and more with fountains, projections, and flame effects. The show is inspired by Walt’s famous words: “To all who come to this happy place… welcome.”
Paint the Night Parade Returns
Fan-favorite Paint the Night returns to Disneyland Park, lighting up Main Street, U.S.A. with over a million LED lights. Led by Mickey Mouse and Tinker Bell, this spectacular features characters from Monsters, Inc., Cars, The Little Mermaid, and more, with vibrant floats and high-energy music.
Wondrous Journeys Returns
Also returning is Wondrous Journeys, a nighttime show celebrating Walt Disney Animation Studios. With projections across Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, and “it’s a small world,” this tribute includes scenes from Peter Pan, Encanto, The Princess and the Frog, and Moana. Select nights will feature a stunning fireworks finale.

Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!
This lively daytime parade at Disney California Adventure showcases nearly 30 Pixar characters across colorful floats. Better Together celebrates friendship and fun with appearances by characters from Luca, Up, and Turning Red.

- Special 70th Anniversary décor and a commemorative medallion on Sleeping Beauty Castle
- Mickey and friends in all-new outfits created just for the occasion
