Disneyland’s 70th anniversary is right around the corner, and there’s plenty to be excited about! Starting July 17, 2025, Disneyland Park will unveil a lineup of all-new experiences that honor its rich history while looking toward the future. From special exhibits on Main Street, U.S.A., to the debut of a touching new tribute inside it’s a small world, this celebration will be filled with magic and nostalgia.
Here’s a quick look at some of the highlights:
A Sherman Brothers Tribute at Main Street Cinema
One of the most exciting additions is a film tribute to the legendary Sherman Brothers, known for composing iconic Disney songs. Inside the Main Street Cinema, guests will be able to watch “The Last Verse,” a beautiful short film celebrating their timeless contribution to Disney music. This film introduces a new verse to the beloved “it’s a small world” theme. The new verse will also debut inside the attraction itself on July 17.
Explore Disneyland’s History at the Main Street Opera House
New exhibits in the Opera House will take you on a journey through the evolution of Disneyland. Curated by Walt Disney Imagineering and The Walt Disney Archives, this gallery will showcase rare artifacts. Along with never-before-seen images, and personal items from Walt’s private apartment above the Fire Station.
Another exhibit will explore the history and evolution of Audio-Animatronics technology, highlighting Walt Disney’s innovative spirit. The Walt Disney Family Museum is also lending several significant items. Those items include Walt’s Presidential Medal of Freedom and his 1955 Emmy award for Walt Disney’s Disneyland.
“Walt Disney – A Magical Life” Returns
The newly enhanced Walt Disney – A Magical Life show will open alongside these exhibits. Through remastered footage, personal stories, and Audio-Animatronics, Walt himself will guide you through his life’s journey, inspiring generations to come.
After its initial run, Walt Disney – A Magical Life will rotate with Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. Giving guests two incredible experiences in one location.
