What to Expect in Season 14

The revival picks up after Hank and Peggy’s extended stay in Saudi Arabia. There, Hank took a propane job to build their retirement fund. Now, they’re settling back into a changed Arlen and trying to reconnect with familiar faces. These include conspiracy theorist Dale, soft-spoken Boomhauer, and ever-lonely Bill.

Meanwhile, Bobby Hill has grown up and is thriving in Dallas as a professional chef. He’s living life with former classmates Connie, Joseph, and Chane, giving the show a fresh generational perspective.

Season 14 offers 10 all-new episodes and a chance to explore how time has shaped each character. Expect sharp writing, emotional depth, and that signature King of the Hill blend of satire and sincerity.

A Familiar Voice Cast Returns

Much of the original cast is back, ensuring the revival feels authentic. Mike Judge returns as Hank Hill, joined by Kathy Najimy as Peggy, Pamela Adlon as Bobby, Johnny Hardwick as Dale, Stephen Root as Bill, Lauren Tom as Minh and Connie, and Toby Huss as Kahn. Their performances bring consistency to a show that defined its tone through character voice and rhythm.

Behind the scenes, creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels return, joined by new showrunner Saladin Patterson. The team also includes producers Michael Rotenberg, Howard Klein, and Dustin Davis, working under 20th Television Animation. With a mix of original and new talent, the revival is set up for both creative continuity and fresh perspective.

The Legacy of King of the Hill

First premiering in 1997, King of the Hill ran for 13 seasons on Fox, winning an Emmy® Award and earning its place as one of TV’s most grounded and heartfelt animated comedies. The series became known for its dry humor, relatable characters, and thoughtful exploration of American life—particularly through the lens of small-town Texas.

All 13 original seasons are now streaming on Hulu. This makes it the perfect time to revisit old episodes before Season 14 drops.

First Look and What’s Next

While a full trailer hasn’t landed yet, Hulu has released a sneak peek at the Season 14 opening credits, filled with clever nods to the past and glimpses of new storylines. Blink and you might miss moments teasing the return of fan-favorite characters, including Luanne and Bobby’s son.
