The Director’s Personal Connection

Cristina Costantini, known for Science Fair and Mucho Mucho Amor, brings a personal touch to the film. As a self-described “science nerd” growing up, Costantini idolized Ride, even painting a mural of her in elementary school. The film marks a full-circle moment for the director.  She said she always wanted to tell the story of Sally’s professional brilliance—and her private joy.

Production and Creative Team

Costantini produces Sally along with Lauren Cioffi, Dan Cogan (Icarus), and Jon Bardin of Story Syndicate. Executive producers include Liz Garbus, Tam O’Shaughnessy, and National Geographic’s Carolyn Bernstein. Muck Media and Story Syndicate partnered to create the film.
