In honor of World Wish Dayยฎ 2025, The Walt Disney Company launched its first-ever Disney Week of Wishes โ a global celebration of Disneyโs 45-year partnership with Make-A-Wishยฎ. As the worldโs largest wish granter, Disney continues to bring hope and happiness to children with critical illnesses through magical, unforgettable experiences.
Once Upon A Wish Party at Walt Disney World
At the center of the celebration was the second Once Upon A Wish Party โ a multi-day event at Walt Disney World Resort. Nearly 50 kids and their families joined a Princess-themed adventure. They danced at a Royal Ball at Disneyโs Contemporary Resort and received their crowns as Disney Royalty.
Throughout the event, wish kids met more than 55 Disney characters. They also enjoyed themed meals, pajama parties, a scavenger hunt, and an exclusive fireworks display. Over 500 cast members from across Disney โ including Parks, Live Entertainment, Consumer Products, and Food & Beverage โ came together to make the experience unforgettable.

Magic Around the Globe
Disney parks and resorts across the world joined the celebration, bringing Disney dreams to life in many unique ways:
- Disneyland Resort hosted royal breakfasts, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique makeovers, and in-park celebrations for kids like Justice.
- Shanghai Disney Resort granted baking wishes inside the Enchanted Storybook Castle with Cinderella, Ariel, Rapunzel, and Chef Donald Duck.
- Disney Cruise Line welcomed wish kids aboard the Disney Wish for magical meet-and-greets and sea adventures.
- Tokyo DisneySea fulfilled its first Rapunzel wish at Fantasy Springs. With a lantern-lit boat ride and a visit with Flynn Rider.
- Hong Kong Disneyland featured a live performance by wish kid Yee Sun, followed by a meet-and-greet with Elsa.
- Disneyland Paris welcomed 75 families from across Europe during the Disney Music Festival. Which included a performance with UK artist Sam Ryder.
- Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa planned its own Week, where wish kids like Adeline will meet Moana and enjoy Hawaiian experiences.
Disney Consumer Products Adds Extra Magic
Wish kids were showered with magical surprises, thanks to Consumer Products. At locations like Disney Store Ontario Mills, young guests like Kehlani and Camila received princess makeovers and explored the store for their favorite toys, books, and dresses.
โWhen you ask a sick child what their one wish is, and more than half the time itโs to experience Disney โ thatโs powerful,โ said Tajiana Ancora-Brown, Director of External Affairs at Walt Disney World Resort.
165,000 Wishes and Counting
Since the very first official wish at Disneyland in 1981, Disney and Make-A-Wish have granted more than 165,000 wishes. Today, a wish is granted every hour โ bringing joy, strength, and resilience to children and their families.
