A Bruce Springsteen Movie Is Coming: Here’s What You Need to Know
An all-new feature film from 20th Century Studios, Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, is bringing Bruce Springsteen’s 1982 album Nebraska to life on the big screen. With Jeremy Allen White portraying the Boss and a powerful supporting cast, this upcoming biopic dives deep into a defining moment in Springsteen’s career.

Trailer Debuts for Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere
The first official trailer just dropped, and it’s a haunting, emotional glimpse into Springsteen’s early ’80s transformation. Far from a typical rockstar origin story, the film focuses on a more introspective time in his life — when he recorded the now-iconic Nebraska album alone on a 4-track recorder in his New Jersey bedroom.
A Look Behind the Music
Director and screenwriter Scott Cooper based the film on Warren Zanes’ book Deliver Me from Nowhere, offering fans a cinematic look into the psychological and emotional depth of the Nebraska sessions. Cooper shared:
“Making Springsteen was deeply moving as it allowed me to step inside the soul of an artist I’ve long admired… It felt like a journey through memory, myth, and truth.”
The film explores Springsteen’s internal battle with success and legacy. According to Cooper, this raw emotional honesty changed him personally and artistically.

Cast and Characters
Jeremy Allen White stars as Bruce Springsteen, with Jeremy Strong as his trusted manager Jon Landau. The cast also includes:
- Paul Walter Hauser as guitar tech Mike Batlan
- Stephen Graham as Springsteen’s father, Doug
- Odessa Young as Faye
- Gaby Hoffman as Springsteen’s mother, Adele
- Marc Maron as Chuck Plotkin
- David Krumholtz as Columbia Records executive Al Teller
The Music, the Myth, the Man
Recorded in 1982, Nebraska was a stark departure from the E Street Band’s signature sound. Springsteen’s haunting acoustic tracks reflect the disconnection, ghosts, and internal reckonings that shaped his life at the time. The film sets out to capture that isolation and honesty, making it more than just a music biopic — it’s a portrait of an artist caught between fame and vulnerability.

When and Where to Watch
Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere will premiere exclusively in theaters on October 24, 2025. It is produced by Scott Cooper, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Eric Robinson, and Scott Stuber. Executive producers Tracey Landon, Jon Vein, and Warren Zanes.
