Disney fans, get ready. Two of your favorite franchises are teaming up for a live musical event like no other. The Descendants/ZOMBIES: Worlds Collide Tour kicks off Thursday, July 17, at Pechanga Arena in San Diego. This arena-sized celebration features iconic songs from Descendants and ZOMBIES on stage.
The cast features stars from both franchises. From Descendants: The Rise of Red, you’ll see Kylie Cantrall, Malia Baker, Dara Reneé, and Joshua Colley. Representing ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires are Freya Skye, Malachi Barton, and Mekonnen Knife.
From Idea to Arena Tour
The timing couldn’t be better. Descendants: The Rise of Red just marked its anniversary on July 12, and ZOMBIES 4 premiered earlier this month. But this tour has been building for over a year.
It all started as a ZOMBIES-only tour. But the teams at Disney Branded Television and Disney Concerts saw a bigger opportunity. They believed combining both franchises would deliver a unique concert experience. Once AEG got on board, the idea quickly gained momentum.
According to Darryl Franklin, VP at Disney Music Group, the concept grew because of fan passion. “We wanted to create something that truly celebrates the music of both series,” he said.
A Show for Every Generation
This tour isn’t just about great songs. It’s about creating lasting memories. Whether it’s your first concert or you’re a seasoned fan, the show aims to impress. Some fans may be attending their first-ever arena show. Others might be comparing it to performances by Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, or Olivia Rodrigo.
The cast is just as excited. “There are so many incredible songs in these franchises,” said Kylie Cantrall, who plays Red. “Performing them live is an amazing way to connect with fans.”
