A New Pixar Original Arrives March 2026
Pixar just dropped the official trailer for its next original feature, Hoppers, and it’s already hopping into the spotlight. From the mind of We Bare Bears creator Daniel Chong, Hoppers hits theaters on March 6, 2026. It may be one of Pixar’s most inventive stories yet.

Meet the Characters and Cast
The trailer introduces Mabel Tanaka, a brilliant young scientist voiced by Piper Curda. She’s created breakthrough technology that allows humans to project their consciousness into robotic animals, called Hoppers. When she tests the invention by jumping into a lifelike robotic beaver, Mabel enters a wild world in danger and meets a cast of animal allies worth protecting.
The cast features strong comedic and dramatic talent. Bobby Moynihan voices King George, a theatrical beaver chieftain with strong opinions and even stronger tail-slaps. Jon Hamm plays Mayor Jerry, a shady politician pushing for development over preservation.

Storytelling with Heart and Humor
Daniel Chong directs and co-writes the film, alongside producer Nicole Paradis Grindle. The result is a blend of action, comedy, and emotional storytelling that touches on themes like environmentalism, identity, and community. Pixar appears to be leaning into heart with a quirky twist.
The film’s visual style echoes Avatar and Zootopia, but its pace and humor feel fresh. It originally appeared as a post-credits teaser after Elio and was later featured at the D23 Expo. With this full trailer, Hoppers is gaining major momentum.
Hoppers premieres in theaters March 6, 2026.
