Ahoy, mateys! The wait is nearly over. On August 29, 2025, the Beak and Barrel Pirate Tavern officially drops anchor at Magic Kingdom Park. This brand-new “Pirates of the Caribbean”-inspired hideaway isn’t just another dining spot—it’s an immersive pirate experience packed with Tortuga-style sing-alongs, interactive storytelling, and magical details waiting to be discovered. Captain Merry Goldwyn and her chatty parrot quartermaster Rummy welcome sailors of all ages to gather for grog, grub, and pirate mischief.

The Pirates’ Mess Hall
The first space you discover is the Pirates’ Mess, once a Spanish soldiers’ dining hall before pirates claimed it. Look up to see a ship’s bell from Captain Redd’s first vessel, gifted to Merry himself. Long tables invite groups of adventurers to swap tall tales. Overhead, an old anchor wrapped in candles glows like a chandelier. You’ll also spot the Mermaid Windows, salvaged from a shipwreck, and the eerie remains of The Brig, where the walls seem to remember the rogues they once held.

The Cursed Skull Bar
Inside the Mess, the skull-shaped bar instantly catches your eye. Behind it rests the Enchanted Rum Bottle, a magical artifact that keeps the tavern’s barrels full forever. Meanwhile, Rummy perches in the skull’s eye socket. Always ready with a quip or a song, he ensures no pirate goes thirsty without a laugh.

Quarters of the Captains
Step deeper and you’ll reach the Quarters of the Captains, once the home of a Spanish commander. Once elegant, the walls now bear scars from pirate blades and embers. An ornate fireplace provides warmth, while ship-in-bottle models rest on the mantel. Legend insists these tiny vessels spring to life in furious battles when the firelight flickers. Along the walls, the Captains’ Booths display carved panels telling tales of notorious pirates, and a hidden sitting room invites crews to gamble away their gold—if they dare.

The Cartographer’s Den
Treasure hunters flock to the Cartographer’s Den, where scrolls, ink, and parchment from a famed pirate mapmaker clutter the space. A massive painted map on the wall hints at secrets waiting to be uncovered. In the center, a worktable remains covered with tools and notes, sparking imaginations of discoveries beyond the Seven Seas Lagoon.

Tales That Never End
Every corner of the Beak and Barrel holds a new story, making each visit unique. Whether you’re seated in The Brig, sipping at the Cursed Bar, or exploring the Mapmaker’s Room, you’ll find surprises waiting. Reservations are highly recommended through the My Disney Experience app or DisneyWorld.com.
See Inside the Beak and Barrel
Disney has shared a first-look video, styled like a classic adventure game, that lets fans explore the tavern room by room. Guided by Captain Merry Goldwyn and her feathered first mate, Rummy the parrot, you’ll uncover secrets of the Mess Hall, the Cursed Bar, the Captains’ Quarters, and more. It’s a playful, interactive way to experience the new space before you set foot inside Magic Kingdom
