Okay—maybe not Forky himself, but Tony Hale, the Emmy® Award-winning actor best known as the voice of Forky in Toy Story 4 and Fear in Inside Out 2, is joining the Marvel Universe for the first time. In Disney Jr.’s animated preschool series Marvel’s Iron Man and His Awesome Friends, Hale steps into the role of Ultron—reimagined with a playful, family-friendly twist.
ULTRON
A Playful Take on Ultron
Hale’s Ultron delivers mischief over menace, concocting elaborate schemes to outwit Tony Stark/Iron Man (Mason Blomberg), Riri Williams/Iron Heart (Kapri Ladd), and Amadeus Cho/Iron Hulk (Aidyn Ahn). Like many classic villains, Ultron often sabotages himself. Hale’s theatrical spin even gives Ultron a song and music video—one of the series’ standout comedic moments.
Comedy Meets Chaos
Adding to the fun are Ultron’s sidekicks, Nuts (Gary Anthony Williams) and Bolts (Mo Collins). Inspired by old-school comedy duos, they disrupt Ultron’s plans at every turn, creating layers of humor and chaos.
A Marvel Gateway for Kids
For Hale, this first Marvel role is all about making superheroes accessible to young viewers. The series blends action with lessons in teamwork and creative problem-solving, making it an engaging entry point for kids. Like his previous Disney and Pixar projects, Hale relishes the chance to “go wild” in the booth, bringing energy and humor to every line.
From Forky to Ultron
Hale imagines Forky could bring out Ultron’s softer side—just as he did with Gabby Gabby in Toy Story 4. His enthusiasm for crafting memorable Disney characters shines through in this latest performance.
Marvel’s Iron Man and His Awesome Friends is available now on Disney Jr. and Disney+.
