Indy Returns with a New Adventure
At Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025, Lucasfilm Games, Bethesda, and MachineGames revealed the first trailer for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants. The new downloadable content (DLC) takes Indy back to Italy for an all-new chapter that expands the story of the hit game. The DLC arrives September 4, 2025, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Game Pass, with a Nintendo Switch 2 release planned for 2026.

Ancient Mysteries Beneath Rome
Set during the events of the main game in 1937, The Order of Giants delves into the dark legacy of the Nephilim Order, the group of giants first introduced in The Great Circle. Indy joins forces with Father Ricci, a young priest searching for a lost artifact. What begins as a simple recovery quickly spirals into a deadly quest filled with cryptic puzzles, hidden passageways, and ancient legends.
Players will encounter Emperor Nero’s corrupt gladiator games, the enigmatic Cult of Mithras, and even myths of a colossal beast. Every step pushes Indy deeper into the secrets buried beneath Rome.
Exploring Rome’s Landmarks
The DLC takes Indy beyond the walls of Vatican City and into the heart of Rome. Highlights include:
- Descending into foreboding crypts and ancient sewer systems like the Cloaca Maxima.
- Exploring the ruins of the Colosseum and the beauty of the Vatican Gardens.
- Taking a boat ride down the River Tiber.
These stunning new locations come alive with puzzles, combat sequences, and a stirring new soundtrack from composer Gordy Haab.

A Cult in the Shadows
Indy’s path won’t be easy. The Cult of Mithras lurks in the shadows, determined to stop him. Familiar foes return as well, including Father Ventura and even Mussolini himself. To survive, Indy must use every trick in the book—combining whip skills, combat, and clever puzzle solving.
