Halloween Returns to California Adventure
From August 17 through October 31, 2025, Oogie Boogie Bash returns to Disney California Adventure. During this after-hours, separately ticketed event, the park comes alive with spooky fun, trick-or-treat trails, and villainous surprises.
Meanwhile, tickets remain available for select August dates, making it the perfect way to celebrate “Summerween” before fall officially arrives.
What’s Included with Oogie Boogie Bash Tickets?
Your ticket unlocks exclusive Halloween entertainment from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. – five hours of frightful fun. Plus, guests can enter the park as early as 3:00 p.m. with a special mix-in.
Highlights include:
- PhotoPass downloads – Unlimited digital photos from the party, available for 45 days after capture.
- Commemorative event guide – A collectible map designed just for the event.
- Shorter ride wait times – Many attractions have reduced queues during party hours.
Costumes and Style Tips
Costumes are encouraged for guests of all ages. Whether you’re planning a full villain-inspired look or just sporting a Halloween Spirit Jersey, creativity is key.
- Disney’s Tenaya Stone Spa at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel offers makeup and hairstyling inspired by Disney characters.
- Halloween merch – From Mickey’s Halloween collection to Haunted Mansion apparel, there are plenty of options for a themed outfit.
- Tip: Pack a sweater for those breezy California nights and wear comfortable shoes.
Trick-or-Treat Trails and Character Encounters
There are 12 immersive treat trails stocked with favorites like SNICKERS, SKITTLES, and M&M’s. Villains lurk along the way, making the candy hunt a true Halloween adventure.
For allergy-friendly guests, alternative treats are available at every trail. Rare character meet-and-greets and Halloween costume photo ops also make this a can’t-miss part of the night.
The Frightfully Fun Parade
The Frightfully Fun Parade is a highlight of Oogie Boogie Bash, stepping off at 7:45 p.m. and again at 10:00 p.m. each party night. The Headless Horseman leads the way, followed by Jack Skellington, Haunted Mansion spirits, and a lineup of Disney villains.
For an upgraded experience, guests can book the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party with preferred parade seating, specialty sweets, drinks, and a collectible enamel pin. Reservations are strongly recommended.
Villains Grove at Redwood Creek
Villains Grove transforms Redwood Creek Challenge Trail into a walk-through realm of haunting lights and mystical sounds. Scenes inspired by Scar, Dr. Facilier, and other infamous Disney villains make this one of the event’s most atmospheric experiences.

Oogie Boogie Bash 2025 also serves up themed bites and drinks:
