Celebrating 25 Years of DisneySea
Since it opened in 2001, Tokyo DisneySea has held a special place in the hearts of Disney fans worldwide. Whether you’re planning your first trip to Japan or already counting down the days until your return, the park’s 25th anniversary will deliver a milestone celebration filled with magic, music, and memories.
From April 15, 2026 through March 31, 2027, the year-long event will feature new shows, dazzling decorations, themed food and drink, and plenty of must-have merchandise.
What Makes Tokyo DisneySea Special
Tokyo DisneySea remains the only Disney park themed entirely to the sea. Its eight themed ports bring together Disney stories of exploration, imagination, and adventure. Guests can soar on Journey to the Center of the Earth, snack on a shrimp-filled Ukiwah Bun, or marvel at the park’s signature AquaSphere. For the 25th anniversary, each port will join in the jubilee with special touches of color and entertainment.
Duffy and Friends Join the Fun
Duffy the Disney Bear debuted at Tokyo DisneySea twenty years ago and quickly became a fan favorite. For the anniversary, Duffy and his friends will be front and center with new appearances, meet-and-greets, and special “Jubilee Blue” merchandise created just for the celebration. Expect limited-edition collectibles that highlight the cuddly crew’s connection to DisneySea.
Entertainment Highlights
Two major shows will headline the 25th anniversary:
- Sparkling Jubilee Celebration – Mickey Mouse and friends will sail into the Mediterranean Harbor on a decorated barge to mark the park’s quarter-century milestone with music and energy.
- Dance the Globe! – A limited-time show at Waterfront Park featuring Mickey, Rapunzel, Hiro, Mirabel, and more. Characters will perform dances inspired by cultures from around the world, with special anniversary-themed costumes in the finale.
To end the evening, projection effects will transform the facade of Hotel MiraCosta, accompanied by the anniversary’s theme song.
Park Decor in “Jubilee Blue”
The official color of the 25th anniversary, Jubilee Blue, will adorn the park from top to bottom. From the entrance AquaSphere to Passaggio MiraCosta, guests will find sparkling decorations perfect for photos and memories. Each port of call will include its own special touches in line with the festive theme.
Food, Drinks, and a Festival
Special anniversary-themed treats will be on offer throughout the year, including unique popcorn flavors, seasonal shaved ice, and the always-popular Little Green Dumplings. Select restaurants will offer limited-time menus in anniversary decor. In addition, a Tokyo DisneySea Food & Wine Festival will be held for a limited time after the celebration begins, offering even more culinary adventures.
