Morimoto Asia Celebrates 10 Years at Disney Springs with Passport Program and Anniversary Event

A Decade of Culinary Excellence

Morimoto Asia, the iconic Pan-Asian restaurant led by Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto and operated in partnership with the Patina Restaurant Group, is marking a milestone: its 10th anniversary at Disney Springs.

Since opening in 2015, the restaurant has welcomed millions of guests from around the world, building a reputation for culinary innovation, design excellence, and hospitality. Along the way, Morimoto Asia has received accolades, including the AIA Orlando Design Built Award of Merit, multiple OpenTable Diners’ Choice Awards, and the Foodster Award for Best Overall Restaurant in Orlando.

Chef Morimoto reflected on the journey, sharing: “For 10 years, it has been a great pleasure to share my food and vision with guests at Disney Springs. This journey continues because of my team’s passion and dedication, and they inspire me every day. I look forward to the next 10 years, bringing new ideas and flavors to everyone who visits.”

Passport to Morimoto Asia

To celebrate the anniversary, Morimoto Asia is launching a year-long “Passport to Morimoto Asia” program beginning October 1, 2025. Each month, a different Pan-Asian country will be highlighted with a featured dish and cocktail. Guests who collect stamps in their custom-designed passport can earn exclusive prizes:

  • 12 stamps: Invitation to an exclusive reception at Morimoto Asia hosted by Chef Morimoto himself.
  • 24 stamps: A weekend getaway to Boston, including an event at TD Garden, dinner for two, and a complimentary hotel stay.

Monthly Features

  • October (2025) – Japan: Okinawa Soba + Awamori Sour

Okinawa Soba (thick wheat noodle, pork belly, fish cake, scallion, pickled ginger)

  • November (2025) – Korea: Sundubu Jjigae + Soju & “Sprite”

Sundubu Jjigae (spicy egg custard, seafood & vegetable stew)

  • December (2025) – Thailand: Pad Thai + Reconstructed Thai Tea

Pad Thai (Oishii shrimp, tofu, vegetable)

  • January – Vietnam: A-5 Wagyu Pho + Jackfruit Mojito
  • February – Mongolia: Khuushuur + Mongolian Milk Tea
  • March – Singapore: Chicken Rice + Rhubarb Singapore Sling
  • April – Malaysia: Kapitan Chicken w/Coconut Rice + Tamarind Margarita
  • May – Philippines: Adobo Tacos + Pandan Espresso Martini
  • June – Taiwan: Lu Rou Fan + Baijiu Bijou
  • July – India: Chicken 65 + Porter Flip
  • August – Indonesia: Nasi Goreng + Coco-Kece
  • September – China: Dongpo Pork + Pomelo Paloma

General Manager Paul Snyder noted: “We are very excited to launch ‘Passport to Morimoto Asia,’ a program designed to thank our dedicated guests who have embraced us over the past decade. We could not have imagined the overwhelming love and support we would receive when we opened in 2015. We look forward to many more years at Disney Springs.”

Anniversary Celebration Event

The 10th anniversary festivities officially kick off on September 14, 2025, with a special celebration at Disney Springs. Highlights include:

  • Bluefin Tuna Carving Ceremony presented by Chef Morimoto.
  • Instagram-worthy meet-and-greets with the Iron Chef.
  • Sake sampling and tastings of signature dishes like Peking Duck, ramen, and takoyaki.
  • Specialty cocktails, beer, and sake pairings.

Guests will also be the first to receive their Passport to Morimoto Asia at the event. Tickets are limited, starting at $125+ per person or $650+ for a four-person VIP booth.

A Lasting Legacy at Disney Springs

From its striking two-story interior and glass-encased kitchen to its sushi bar and private lounges, Morimoto Asia has become a must-visit destination for Disney Springs visitors. The restaurant’s success is rooted in its people, with eighteen employees still on staff since opening day in 2015. Beyond the dining experience, Morimoto Asia has supported the Central Florida community with charitable initiatives like the annual Ramen Rumble, raising over $100,000 for Give Kids the World.
