Disney has officially dropped the trailer for LEGO Disney Frozen: Operation Puffins, a brand-new animated special coming to Disney+ on October 24, 2025. The short adventure bridges the story between Frozen and Frozen II, giving fans a fresh look at Anna, Elsa, and the citizens of Arendelle as they face a feathered new challenge.

A LEGO Adventure Between Frozen Films
In Operation Puffins, Anna and Elsa work to rebuild Arendelle in their own unique way — until the mischievous Duke of Weselton returns, this time with a plan involving a flock of chaotic puffins. With Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven joining the action, fans can expect plenty of humor, music, and LEGO-style fun.
The special continues Disney’s trend of using LEGO animation to expand beloved franchises, combining heartfelt storytelling with clever comedy and visual gags that appeal to both kids and long-time Frozen fans.
A Look Ahead: Frozen 3 and Frozen 4
The trailer’s release arrives just as excitement builds for Frozen 3, announced at D23 in 2024. Directed by Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, the third film in the blockbuster franchise is set to debut in theaters on November 24, 2027 — the day before Thanksgiving. A fourth Frozen movie is also in development, with Lee returning to lead both projects.
Operation Puffins Takes Flight
With LEGO Disney Frozen: Operation Puffins landing on Disney+ just in time for the holiday season, the franchise shows no sign of slowing down. Expect quick wit, classic songs, and a dose of heartwarming teamwork as Arendelle’s heroes take flight with their puffin pals.
Stay tuned to Sam’s Disney Diary for a full review when the special premieres on Disney+ on October 24.
