Marvel dominated New York Comic Con 2025 with one of the biggest panels of the weekend. The Empire Stage was packed as Brad Winderbaum, Head of Marvel Television and Animation, joined host Brandon Davis to share exclusive footage and updates. The presentation featured new and returning Disney+ series along with a few surprise guests.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Swings Into Season 2

Marvel’s iconic New York hero opened the show. Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man returns to Disney+ in fall 2026. The footage teased Peter Parker’s next challenge—a black symbiote that hints at a Venom connection. Expect more web-slinging action, emotional stakes, and appearances from familiar characters.
X-Men ’97 Returns With New Adventures
The fan-favorite X-Men ’97 will return in summer 2026. The creative team from the original 1990s series is back. Eric and Julia Lewald, and director Larry Houston, join as executive producers. The new season promises fresh animation, new threats, and the same mutant drama fans love. Winderbaum confirmed that X-Men ’97 Season 3 is already in production.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled that fans are still watching and connecting with these characters,” said Eric Lewald.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Brings Back Jessica Jones
NYCC wouldn’t be complete without Hell’s Kitchen’s heroes. Daredevil: Born Again returns in March 2026 with Charlie Cox reprising his role as Matt Murdock. In a surprise reveal, Krysten Ritter joins as Jessica Jones. The new season brings a darker, more dangerous tone as Murdock and Wilson Fisk face a city that has evolved around them.
“All bets are off. The world has changed for Matt and for heroes in general,” said Cox. “It’s a scary place for people trying to do good.”

Marvel confirmed that Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is already in development, ensuring fans will see more of Murdock and Jones soon.
Wonder Man Brings Hollywood to the MCU
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Sir Ben Kingsley unveiled Wonder Man, premiering January 27, 2026, on Disney+. The eight-episode series follows Simon Williams, an actor trying to succeed in a superhero-filled Hollywood. Abdul-Mateen stars as Williams, while Kingsley returns as Trevor Slattery from Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
“As Simon, I get to walk that fine line between ego, ambition, and vulnerability,” said Abdul-Mateen. “It’s a story about chasing dreams—and what it costs to achieve them.”
Marvel also revealed the trailer and poster exclusively for NYCC attendees, confirming Wonder Man as one of 2026’s first big Disney+ releases.

VisionQuest Closes Out the WandaVision Saga
Paul Bettany surprised fans by debuting the first footage from VisionQuest. The upcoming series completes the trilogy started with WandaVision and Agatha All Along. The story follows White Vision’s struggle to reconnect with his memories—including those from the Hex—as he searches for meaning and identity.
The footage introduced Henry Lewis as D.U.M.-E, James D’Arcy returning as J.A.R.V.I.S., and James Spader reprising his role as Ultron. The series promises emotional storytelling, deeper questions, and plenty of action.
“White Vision is having real difficulty connecting to his memories,” said Bettany. “His journey is about rediscovering who he was—and what that means now.”
A Massive Year Ahead for Marvel on Disney+
With Wonder Man in January, Daredevil: Born Again in March, X-Men ’97 and Spider-Man in summer and fall, and VisionQuest closing out the year, 2026 will be huge for Marvel. The Disney+ lineup blends nostalgia with new ideas across animation and live action. As a result, fans can expect one of the most exciting years in Marvel streaming history.
NYCC 2025 proved that the MCU’s creative energy is still going strong. Even after the Multiverse Saga, Marvel continues to expand, evolve, and surprise.
