Southwest Adding Free WiFi to Flights to Disney Parks and Other Destinations Starting October 24, 2025

Southwest Airlines is adding a little extra magic to your next Disney trip — and beyond. Starting October 24, 2025, the airline will roll out free in-flight WiFi for all Rapid Rewards members on every domestic flight, including routes to Orlando (Walt Disney World) and Southern California (Disneyland Resort).

Free WiFi for All Rapid Rewards Members

Thanks to a new partnership with T-Mobile, Southwest is bringing free unlimited WiFi to every Rapid Rewards member — no paid plan or T-Mobile account required. The program officially begins on October 24, 2025. Joining Rapid Rewards is free, and once logged in during your flight, you’ll have full access to the internet from takeoff to landing.

The airline says this move makes Southwest the largest U.S. carrier to offer free WiFi across its entire domestic fleet. If you’re not yet a member, sign up in minutes on Southwest.com. Once in the air, connect to the Southwest WiFi portal, enter your Rapid Rewards credentials, and enjoy browsing, messaging, or streaming for free.

Be sure to check the latest supported devices for in-flight wifi here, and don’t miss the in-flight entertainment hub loaded with Disney Content.

Perfect for Disney Travelers

Whether your destination is Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort, this upgrade brings extra convenience. You can finalize Genie+ selections, confirm hotel check-in, or finish your last-minute plans en route. Families can research park tips, or plan their first Lightning Lane — all at no extra cost.

Southwest remains one of the most popular airlines for Disney-bound travelers. With dozens of daily flights to Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Long Beach and John Wayne Airports (serving Disneyland), the free WiFi rollout enhances the travel experience from coast to coast.

What Changes in October 2025

Before this update, Southwest charged $8 per device per flight for WiFi. Beginning October 24, 2025, that fee will no longer apply to all Rapid Rewards members. Non-members will still see the paid option, giving one more reason to join for free.

Most of Southwest’s aircraft are already equipped with upgraded WiFi systems, but performance may vary as the final retrofits are completed. Early trials in 2025 showed consistent connectivity for email, social media, and streaming on the majority of flights.

What You Can Expect

  • Free internet access (browsing, social media, email, and light streaming)
  • Rapid Rewards required — membership is free
  • Available on all domestic flights, including routes to Orlando and Southern California
  • Some restrictions on heavy data use to maintain stable speeds

Bringing the Magic of Connection to the Sky

This initiative follows years of investment in Southwest’s entertainment and connectivity systems. For Disney fans, it’s one more reason to fly Southwest — and one less reason to disconnect. Whether you’re planning a park day or streaming Disney+ at 35,000 feet, free WiFi makes your trip to the magic even smoother.  Don’t miss the Disney Content on the Southwest Entertainment hub!
