Winter magic has arrived in Shanghai! The Disney Winter Frostival returns to Shanghai Disney Resort from November 7, 2025, through March 3, 2026, offering a mix of sparkling décor, seasonal cuisine, and new entertainment to celebrate the coldest months in classic Disney style.
New Décor and Snowy Surprises
This year’s Frostival gives the entire resort a fresh new look. The Gardens of Imagination will feature a towering Christmas tree that glows nightly with bright ornaments and a radiant star. Along Mickey Avenue, guests can spot whimsical snow sculptures of Mickey, Minnie, and their friends. Each statue highlights iconic details such as Minnie’s polka-dot bow and Donald’s sailor hat.
You’ll also find returning ice carvings with a few new faces. A brand-new social wall invites guests to snap photos of Mickey, Minnie, and Duffy and Friends enjoying a magical snow day.
Shows That Bring the Chill to Life
Entertainment shines even brighter this year. The lively “Mickey’s Snow Magic” fills Mickey Avenue with snow, cheerful music, and colorful Disney projections. The “Disney Winter Magic Cavalcade” parades down the streets with shimmering floats, sparkling costumes, and Disney characters in festive outfits.
When the sun sets, “A Celebration of Disney Winter Frostival” transforms the Enchanted Storybook Castle with lights, fireworks, and music that retells favorite Disney stories.
Mickey and Minnie’s Birthday Bash
From November 12–18, Shanghai Disney Resort will host a week-long celebration for Mickey and Minnie’s birthdays. Daily performances by the Shanghai Disneyland Band will fill the park with cheerful tunes. On November 18, the “Best Wishes” Castle Projection Show will end the celebration with fireworks and stunning visuals.
Cozy Encounters with Disney Friends
Meet favorite Disney pals dressed for winter! Mickey and Friends, Duffy and Friends, and Winnie the Pooh characters will debut new textured, cozy costumes. Each outfit reflects the warmth and charm of the season, making every meet-and-greet feel special.
Festive Dining and Holiday Treats
The Frostival menu features a variety of options, ranging from sweet snacks to hearty winter meals. Guests can savor holiday treats, including donuts, cookies, and muffins, throughout the park. At Royal Banquet Hall and Aurora, special dishes celebrate local flavors and seasonal ingredients. Over at Lumière’s Kitchen, a Christmas Dinner Buffet serves classic comfort food and festive desserts.
Shopping for the Season
Holiday shopping gets a magical upgrade this year. New limited-edition collections include the Mickey and Friends Christmas Waltz Collection, Duffy and Friends Snowy Pals, and themed lines inspired by Winnie the Pooh, Lilo & Stitch, and Zootopia. From scarves and earmuffs to plush toys and home décor, there’s something for everyone to take home.
