The 2025 Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade Details: A New Chapter in a 42-Year Holiday Tradition

For more than four decades, the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade has been part of my family’s holiday morning—and likely yours, too. Since its debut in 1983, the parade has delivered the sights, sounds, and spirit of Disney straight into living rooms across the country. At Sam’s Disney Diary, we’ve documented the rich history of the tradition, and this year marks yet another exciting chapter.

The 2025 edition of the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade airs December 25 at 10:00 a.m. EST on ABC, with streaming available starting at 11:00 a.m. EST on Disney+, Hulu, and the Disney Parks YouTube channel through January 4, 2026. Whether you watch live with cocoa in hand or catch up later under the tree lights, the magic is ready when you are.

A Star-Studded Celebration Across Disney Destinations

This year’s parade brings an impressive lineup of musical performances set against some of the most iconic Disney backdrops. Each performance blends the holidays with Disney storytelling in spectacular fashion.

Here’s who you’ll see spreading cheer from across Disney Parks and Resorts:

New Hosts, New Energy: The 2025 Parade Team

Returning for his second year, Alfonso Ribeiro brings warmth, humor, and unmatched enthusiasm to the broadcast. Joining him for the first time is Ginnifer Goodwin, the beloved voice of Judy Hopps in Zootopia 2. Her Disney roots and storytelling charm make her a perfect addition.

On the parade route, Maia Kealoha, star of Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch, serves as this year’s correspondent—capturing all the excitement happening right on Main Street.

A Villainous Twist Debuts at Magic Kingdom

For the first time, the Disney Villains are crashing Christmas morning. This brand-new parade segment brings together fan-favorite scoundrels in a mischievous and merry takeover. It’s an unexpected twist that adds a fresh spark to a parade rich with tradition.
