It was only a matter of time. A Hallmark holiday movie set at Walt Disney World feels like a match made in festive heaven, and now it’s finally happening. Coming in 2026, Hallmark Channel and Walt Disney World will team up for the first time to create an all-new holiday film shot entirely at The Most Magical Place on Earth. Here’s everything we know so far — and why this collaboration already feels like a perfect fit.
The cast includes Lacey Chabert as Lindsey and Travis Van Winkle as Philip. The cast also includes Richard Kind, Christy Carlson Romano, Bryce Dufee, Taegen Burns, Asher Alexander, and a cameo by Patrick Renna.
Written and directed by Ryan Landels, the film blends classic Hallmark comfort with unmistakable Disney holiday magic.
The Story: A Christmas Wish at Walt Disney World
The story follows Lindsey, who travels to Walt Disney World with her extended family to celebrate Christmas. But what begins as a dream holiday takes a turn when she discovers her hotel room is right next to Philip — the disastrous first date she hoped to forget.
Of course, this is Hallmark, and thanks to the magic of Walt Disney World, their frosty relationship starts to melt. As they cross paths throughout the parks and resorts, their differences fade, and something new begins to grow. A holiday wish made at the Cinderella Fountain may become a Christmas romance.
A Partnership Decades in the Making
This collaboration is more than just cross-brand synergy — it’s rooted in history. Hallmark’s founder, J.C. Hall, and Walt Disney shared a Kansas City connection that sparked one of Disney’s earliest licensing relationships. In 1931, Hall Brothers Company — later known as Hallmark Cards, Inc. — produced the first-ever Mickey Mouse greeting card. The partnership continued for decades, paused when Gibson took over national licensing after Disneyland opened, then returned in the 1970s when Hallmark once again became a key Disney licensee.
Now, almost a century after that first Mickey card, the partnership steps onto the screen in a brand-new way. The connection grew even deeper when Hallmark operated card shops on Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland from 1960 to 1985, and later at Magic Kingdom Park from 1974 to 1985. These shops became beloved stops for guests and further cemented Hallmark as a longtime Disney merchandise partner.
“Storytelling is at the heart of both Disney and Hallmark, and that magic shines even brighter during the holidays,” said Disney’s Sally Conner.
Filming at Walt Disney World
The film will shoot on location throughout Walt Disney World Resort, weaving its story through real holiday moments across the property. Expect Magic Kingdom’s iconic Christmas decor, shimmering resort lobbies filled with festive displays, and familiar park backdrops that instantly root the story in the heart of the holidays. Filming may also capture elements of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, adding even more seasonal charm. This marks the first time a Hallmark Christmas movie has used Walt Disney World as a full, authentic filming location, making it an instant must‑watch for Disney fans.
You can Expect Holiday Merchandise Next Year.
Next holiday season, Hallmark will release a co-branded collection inspired by Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True. The lineup will include greeting cards, ornaments, gift wrap, and a range of collectible gifts. Guests will find the collection at Hallmark Gold Crown stores, Hallmark.com, Disney retailers, and select partners.
