Walt Disney World’s Cool KIDS’ SUMMER 2026 Brings Big Family Fun
If you are planning a Walt Disney World trip with younger kids this summer, Disney just made the pitch a lot stronger. Cool KIDS’ SUMMER runs from May 26 through September 8, 2026, and brings together new entertainment, major attraction updates, and character experiences across the property.

What Opens First

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin reopens April 8 at Magic Kingdom with upgraded ride vehicles, interactive targets, handheld blasters, and new PhotoPass features that display your score and rank.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is also expected to reopen in early May after refurbishment.
Then on May 22, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run adds a new mission featuring The Mandalorian and Grogu, giving Disney’s Hollywood Studios another major draw just days before the summer promotion begins.
May 26 Is the Big Summer Launch Day
The biggest date in this entire rollout is May 26. That is when Cool KIDS’ SUMMER officially begins. It is also when Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live opens at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, The Walt Disney Studios courtyard debuts, and Soarin’ Across America returns to EPCOT.
May 26 is also when Bluey and Bingo arrive at Disney’s Animal Kingdom for games, dancing, themed activities, and photo opportunities at Conservation Station. Disney says that experience will continue beyond Cool KIDS’ SUMMER, which makes it one of the most important family additions in this announcement.
Also on May 26, Soarin’ Across America returns to EPCOT with a refreshed patriotic focus tied to the nation’s 250th anniversary. Disney says the experience will feature famous landscapes, cityscapes, and a new orchestration of the classic Soarin’ theme.
Park-by-Park Summer Highlights
Once summer is underway, each park gets its own family-focused addition. At Magic Kingdom, Jessie’s Roundup: A Rip-Roarin’ Revue takes over the Diamond Horseshoe with songs, dancing, games, and Toy Story fun.
At EPCOT, CommuniCore Hall becomes home to GoofyCore, where Goofy and the Goof Troop lead dance parties and silly games for younger guests.
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Bluey and Bingo become a major draw at Conservation Station. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live and The Walt Disney Studios courtyard give families new reasons to spend more time in the park.
Disney Springs also joins the lineup with select summer dance parties in the Marketplace featuring music tied to Descendants: Wicked Wonderland and Camp Rock 3.
Water Parks Join the Summer Lineup
Disney’s water parks are also part of the Cool KIDS’ SUMMER push. Guests can meet Goofy at Blizzard Beach and Stitch at Typhoon Lagoon during the season. Disney H2O Glow After Hours also returns to Typhoon Lagoon on select nights from June 2 through September 5, adding nighttime access, dance parties, and rare character appearances.
